Remeha Avantas in Knotts

The installation of 130 Remeha Avanta 28c domestic combi boilers is currently in progress as part of an ongoing refurbishment of the Sir James Knott Memorial flats in Tynemouth, North Shields.

Financed by the Sir James Knott Trustees, the flats were originally built in 1938 in memory of the wealthy shipbroker and philanthropist, to provide living accommodation for the homeless and those in overcrowded housing.

A particular feature of the project is that each of the highly efficient wall hung boilers is being installed with both a Balcony and Plume Management Kit to ensure that pluming from the boiler does not build up on the landings.

Feedback on the ground from the housing association, Home, who are installing Avanta boilers for the first time, is extremely encouraging: "The efficiency level, appearance, size and output are fantastic and the temperature of the hot water compares positively against previous makes we have installed."  Broag-Remeha seems to have succeeded in upholding Sir James Knott's motto, ‘Facta non Verba' - ‘Action not Words'.

The Avanta 28c combi boiler is one of Remeha's Avanta Plus range of highly efficient, compact, lightweight boilers aimed at the domestic market. The smart looking 28c domestic system boiler ensures ultra low Nox emission and incorporates the Remeha classic fully modulating premix burner for environmental friendly operation.  The boilers also have automatic air vents and safety valves for reliable operation and boiler protection.
