Hospital Heating Update
A major overhaul of the heating system at St Ann's Hospital, Tottenham was completed in December of last year.
Working in conjunction with Broag-Remeha, Kirkfields Heating Services Ltd, of Enfield, specified a mix of both commercial and domestic boilers from the Remeha product range.
Replacing outdated systems, a total of 14 Remeha boilers from across the Quinta range and one Gas Eco 610 now serve a variety of areas throughout the hospital complex. In addition a further Quinta 30 and two Avanta Plus domestic boilers power heat to the new build X-Ray plantroom, Facilities Mess and Estates Office respectively.
In common with its domestic cousin, the Avanta, the Quinta is a powerful and compact wall hung boiler. The range offers a broad choice of outputs starting with the Quinta 30 at 5.9-29.6kW up to the highest output Quinta 115, which delivers 18.4-114kW. By contrast the Gas Eco 610, a top of the range, high efficiency, floor standing condensing boiler was installed in the Greentrees plantroom. Gas Eco units, with their small footprint, may be mounted side by side and are fitted with wheels to assist installation.
Indeed, Kirkfields remarked that their choice of Remeha for this major project was based, not only on space and cost savings, but also the ease of installation offered by the Remeha product range. They added that: ‘....we have found Broag-Remeha a good company to deal with' ‘.....commissioning was easy to arrange and their Customer Support were helpful'. Client feedback has also been positive.
